Kim Kardashian, visited her ancestors' homeland of Armenia and placed flowers on Friday at a memorial to the 1915 mass killings of Armenians by Ottoman soldiers

Kim Kardashian stuns in a red ensemble while visiting a memorial on Friday afternoon (April 10) in Yerevan, Armenia.

The 34-year-old reality star was joined for the outing by her husband Kanye West, sister Khloe, and cousins Kourtni andKara.
Recently, Kim discussed her daughter North‘s adorable obsession with makeup.
“Every night we play, after her bath, in bed, and you know my purse is always kind of by my nightstand, so she always says ‘purse!’ So she grabs my purse, and that means she wants my makeup bag, so I give her my makeup bag and it’s empty. And if I just turn around for one second, she has my lipstick like all over her face,” Kim told Elle. “So I have to give her her own little makeup bag. She’s obsessed with makeup and watching me get ready and getting ready herself. She just loves the process, she could not be more ultimately girly-girl.”

She and her sister Khloe then stood in silence with their cousins to honour of the victims and spent about 10 minutes near the eternal flame. Khloe was seen wiping a tear away

Both of the sisters looked emotional as they stood at the memorial. Kim wore a necklace which read her daughter's name North 

Wearing a long red dress, Kardashian laid red tulips near the eternal flame of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex on the outskirts of the capital Yerevan


Rapper Kanye walked slightly between Kim and Khloe as they walked to the memorial  - he did not stand at the eternal flame with them

The pair were followed by the Kardashian reality show camera crew during the visit as they walked up to the memorial

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Kardashian and her family in Yerevan on Thursday


The sisters walk away from the memorial both looked somber. Turkey rejects Armenia's claims, arguing that 300,000 to 500,000 Armenians and as many Turks died in civil strife when Armenians rose up against their Ottoman rulers and sided with invading Russian troops


Beyond snapping selfies with her fans, Kardashian has refused to talk with the press but instead took to social media to express her delight at being in Armenia

Kim and Khloe Kardashian walk away after visiting the memorial on Friday. Armenians say up to 1.5 million of their kin were killed between 1915 and 1917 as the Ottoman Empire was falling apart and have long sought to win international recognition of the massacres as genocide

During her eight-day trip, Kim and her film crew will visit Yerevan's genocide memorial and Armenia's National Archives to see documents about her ancestors 

Khloe holds a a special Kardashian award with their names on it at their family's hotel
