Hollywood heavyweights: In The Big Short, Brad is joined by Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, and Steve Carell as some of the men who made millions from predicting the collapse of the housing market

 Brad Pitt gets into character while on set of The Big Short on Friday afternoon (April 10) in New Orleans, La.

The 51-year-old actor took a little break from filming and headed back to his trailer to relax.
The Big Short, which also stars Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale, and Steve Carell, follows a group of men who made millions from a global economic meltdown.

Big shoes to fill: The father-of-six is playing Ben Hockett, who along with Jamie Mai and Charlie Ledley formed Cornwall Capital, who all made millions predicting the collapse of the housing market 

In good company: Angelina Jolie's husband was accompanied by another actor as they walked their dogs and engaged in conversation

In costume: Brad also donned a comfortable blue, red, and grey sweater over a button-up shirt paired with loose-fitted khaki slacks as he strode along in tan loafers

Getting in character: The 51-year-old actor appeared to age quite a bit as he sported shaggy hair, a thick salt and pepper beard, and prescription eyeglasses

Transformation: Brad Pitt did not look his usual sharp dressing self as he got in character as Cornwall Capital partner Ben Hockett on the set of The Big Short in New Orleans on Friday
