Brad Pitt Tweets in China

Earlier this morning (January 7), Brad Pitt became a member of China’s mircroblogging site Sina Weibo, which is similar to the United States’ Twitter.
The 49-year-old actor’s first post on his profile read, “It is the truth. Yup, I’m coming…”
Within a matter of hours, Pitt’s profile gained more than 100,000 followers, 30,000 retweets and 13,000 comments from his Chinese fans.

Although it appears the tweet hints at an excursion to China, Brad may have difficulty entering the country since he was banned after starring in the 1997 film “Seven Years in Tibet.”
According to reports, the Chinese Foreign Ministry was not fond of the negative depiction of its soldiers in Tibet and issued a bar against Mr. Pitt and his visits to the country.
If the super star does head overseas, it is likely that the trip involved work for the French fashion house Chanel.
