Good luck charms: Ben, who won the Critics' Choice Best Director Award, clutched his prize while flashing some interesting artwork on his hands
He got snubbed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, who failed to nominate him for the Best Director Oscar, and Ben Affleck showed his frustration during his acceptance speech at last night’s Critic’s Choice Awards (January 10).

The “Argo” helmsman was named Best Director by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, and he used his time at the podium to poke a little fun at the whole situation.
Ben began by declaring, “I would like to thank the Academy… I’m kidding, I’m kidding. This is the one that counts.”
Fellow hunk Bradley Cooper previously stated that Affleck “got robbed,” and many critics believe it was the “biggest snub of all.”
