The book was penned by Mark Cotta Vaz (he also wrote the “The Twilight Saga” guides), and takes fans behind the scenes and deep into the Southern intrigue of fictional Gatlin, South Carolina.
The movie, out on February 13th, is centered around a small-town guy named Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich) and a mysterious newcomer Lena (Alice Englert). However, there’s a catch, Ethan is a mortal, and Lena is a Caster who can do magic. Together the pair try to break a spell so that on Lena’s 16th birthday, she won’t be claimed by the Dark side
“Beautiful Creatures: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion” hits book shelves on New Year’s Day, January 1st.
