After winning an Academy Award, four BAFTAs, three Golden Globes, four Emmy Awards, and two Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Awards, Helen Mirren has finally earned her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The "Queen" star wore a knee-length blue dress and matching jacket as she was joined by screenwriter David Mamet, director Jon Turteltaub, and hubby Taylor Hackford during the ceremony held in Los Angeles on Thursday (January 3).
Recently, the 67-year-old actress spoke to Women
& Home magazine about her happy marriage. She revealed, "Taylor and I
aren’t remotely romantic with each other. And actually we appreciate
the lack of romance in the other person. I’d be completely horrified if
Taylor gave me a Valentine’s card. That’s not our sort of relationship
at all – we would pour cold water on that sort of thing. Without being
corny, we try simply to be considerate to each other every day rather
than lavishing each other with gifts."
Later, Helen added that the long periods away from each other "stops us taking each other for granted" and "gives us space."
