Prince William’s New Year’s Search and Rescue Mission

He’s always looking to help those in need, and Prince William kicked off 2013 by trying to save a man who had been swept into the sea off the coast of Blackpool, England.
The Royal hunk was called up as part of the search and rescue crew from the RAF Valley in Anglesey, and joined members of the Sea King brigade on the dangerous quest to recover the 41-year-old male.

But when conditions became too windy, William and the rest of the search party had to stand down. They’ll resume the mission later today (January 2nd).
According to a report, the Duke of Cambridge was originally planning on spending the New Year’s holiday with his pregnant wife Kate Middleton in Scotland.
