Ke$ha Responds to "Die Young" Controversy: "I was FORCED TO Sing Those Lyrics"

After suffering a significant drop in air time, Ke$ha has emerged to address the controversy surrounding the lyrics to her hit song, "Die Young" in the aftermath of the Connecticut elementary school shooting.
On Tuesday, the 25-year-old singer tweeted, " I'm so so so sorry for anyone who has been effected by this tragedy. and I understand why my song is now inappropriate. words cannot express."

Earlier, she insisted, "I understand. I had my very own issue with 'die young' for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO."
However, the writers listed on the track include Dr. Luke, Lukasz Gottwald, Henry Walter, Benjamin Levin, fun. singer Nate Ruess, and Ke$ha herself.
