Hilary Duff Takes Baby Luca Shopping!

 
She's very eager to ring in the New Year as a first-time mother.

And Hilary Duff proudly took her son Luca along with her Sunday afternoon as she ran last-minute errands before the holiday.

The mother-son duo hit up a local Starbucks and Hilary easily managed carrying two steaming coffee cups as well as her adorable nine-month-old, whom she affectionately calls 'Monkey.'

The 25-year-old actress, flaunting her pins in red skinny jeans, then took her precious bundle of joy grocery shopping at Ralphs in Coldwater Canyon.

'Having a child is so special!' Duff tweeted to her 1.9 million followers on Saturday. 'I know it's not NYE yet but I'm just thinking about my year and feeling so blessed for my precious boy❤ & Mike!'

And just as the former Disney starlet wore a grey jumper with Ugg boots, little Luca matched her in a grey hooded onesie and teeny-tiny Uggs.

Hilary carefully laid a shopping cart cover in the front compartment so her toddler - sucking away on his blue pacifier - could more comfortably sit as she bought food for the family.

The Lizzie McGuire actress signed up for Pilates, SoulCycle spin class, circuit training, and boxing in order to fit back into her 26in waist jeans and shed the baby weight she gained in March.

Not seen Sunday was Luca's father and Duff's husband of two years, former NHL hockey player Mike Comrie, 32.
